Social Kick-Off on Tuesday evening (Sept 22, 2026)

  • Join us for an evening of connection and celebration at the Healing the Land Conference™ social kick-off in Chetwynd. Come together with fellow attendees for a relaxed and welcoming gathering to set the tone for the conference ahead.  The social kick-off is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and forge collaborations that will continue to grow through the conference.  Includes appetizers and one complimentary beverage.

 

Conference Proceedings on Wednesday and Thursday (Sept 23 & 24, 2026)

  • Connect with Indigenous leaders, federal, provincial, and local governments, industry representatives, and restoration practitioners, to showcase restoration successes, share knowledge on restoring relationships with the land, and strengthen connections to advance joint interests in the restoration economy. Breakfast, lunch, and coffee break snacks are included in the general admission ticket.

 

Gala Dinner on Wednesday evening (Sept 23, 2026)

  • Join an evening of cultural richness and community celebration to honor Healing the Land contributions. Guided by Indigenous principles of harmony and reciprocity, Saulteau First Nations and sponsors are hosting the Healing the Land conference Gala Dinner event, an opportunity to showcase cultural traditions and celebrate restoration accomplishments.  Includes attendance at the Saulteau First Nations cultural show, dinner and awards ceremony.

Conference Add Ons

Add to your conference program experience by registering for a pre-conference workshop.

Take the opportunity to learn Indigenous wisdom and cultural practices at a Healing the Land pre-conference workshop led by Indigenous knowledge keepers and land managers.  The workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and honor Indigenous ways of knowing before the main conference proceedings begin.

We are also collaborating with the BC Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation (TRCR) on opportunities to participate in a mine site tour on September 22.  Registration details will be posted shortly.

Pre-Conference Workshops
