Healing the Land Conference

The Healing the Land Conference focuses on the pillars – Reclaim, Restore, and Recover – within four conference themes of innovation and best practices, collaboration and partnerships, future challenges, and preparing for the future. Through insightful presentations and panel discussions, and interactive cultural courses and tours, the conference will bring together Indigenous leaders, federal, provincial, and local governments, restoration practioners, and industry representatives to showcase restoration successes, discuss new and innovative reclamation practices, and strengthen relationships to advance joint interests in the restoration economy.

Cloy-e-isi, Dr. Judith Sayers, is President of the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council and Chancellor at Vancouver Island University. Judith was chief in her community for 14 years. Throughout her career, Judith has focused on sustainability and restoring and rehabilitating Mother Earth.
